The opening moments of Children of the Corn are quite effective. The credit sequence with these drawings and the creepy children's choir soundtrack sets a great mood. Sadly the rest of the movie never quite lives up to that beginning. I actually really like part II with all the Wizard of Oz references.

For whatever reason, when I was around 12-13 years old, I used to draw all sorts of gory images. One time, I drew a full-page picture of some poor guy getting his head lopped off by Jason Voorhees – on the back of a worksheet that I turned in at school! Funny thing, the teacher that I turned the worksheet in to just wrote "what is this?" in red ink on the picture. These days I'm pretty sure that I'd be "invited" to see the school counselor.

Hey Lance, I love that movie. As well as the opening credits music and drawings. I'm a fan of the whole film in fact, though I feel that the ending and the crappy special effects are a gigantic letdown.
