Hey, sorry I can’t post at our regular time this week- it’s gotta be early our not at all- cuz the computer is going to be all tied up.
And I apologize in advance if this weeks images are not familiar, they’re mostly of semi recent films…BUT…I really wanted to promote HOOPLA.
If you have a library card then you can watch HOOPLA for FREE and they tend to have titles that you don’t normally see on other FREE streaming services.
You can only watch 4 a month but it’s cheaper than any rental and I made sure both John and I joined so that got our limit up to 8 which is fine. Plus Its always important to support the library around here especially at a time like this…
Even if you don’t get HOOPLA hopefully this list may give you some ideas for stuff to check out in the future…and don’t feel bad if you can’t get these- I don’t think I could get many either!

BTW, some libraries don't partner with Hoopla, instead partnering with Kanopy. https://www.kanopy.com/

bdwilcox,
Ah! that makes sense now- I tried to do both but could not get Kanopy to work- I guess my library is knee deep in the hoopla!!! (Jefferson starship pun intended). I'm not complaining- looks like theres so much cool stuff on there. Still missing my library being open though- its become my fefacto video store over the years!
Oh and thanks for those links!!! I'll be checking them out!

I think #6 is Satanic Panic (which is now on Shudder, as well). I really dug it. Grady Hendrix, the author of Paperbacks from Hell, wrote the script.

#2 might be THE HEADHUNTER – which is a pretty good, super-low buget film that I thought was mostly successful. Not everything in it works but the stuff that works is pretty good.
#3 DANIEL ISN'T REAL – Caught it at the OVERLOOK FILM FEST last year. Recommended.
#5 could be PUPPET MASTER: THE LITTLEST REICH – I thought this was terrible despite S. Craig Zahler's name being attached to it.
#6 is SATANIC PANIC – I caught it with the cast and director in attendence at the OVERLOOK last year as well. I thought it was pretty bad despite Grady Hendrix's name being attached to it.
#7 is NIGHTMARE CINEMA – Anthology film that also played at the OVERLOOK. It's not great but this still if from the best segment.

#10 is TRICK
I know I've seen #8 too but I can't place it (yet!).
Alright, at least you're playing this week, which is more than I can do this round. Totally stumped! I can't even begin to make a guess.

The only one of these I think I've seen in 7, which I believe is Nightmare Cinema.

Hmmm. I'm getting old and my eyes aren't what they used to be, apparently. I thought those people were laying in snow in #8, but it looks like tile now that I put my bifocals on. And I guess that's NOT Imogen Poots in the red. Jesus wept.

10 TRICK amazin Dr Nick!
Not bad at all!!! Only missed two-
4 and 8
4 is SUMMER OF 1984
and 8 is RABID (remake)
they also had JACOBS LADDER remake but I couldn’t bite the bullet
Ive only seen about half of these…
COLOR OUT OF SPACE was pretty cool-
I’d recommend SUMMER OF 1984, pretty creepy-
I Thought PUPPETMASTER and SATANIC PANIC were goofy but fun
Was disappointed in TRICK considering the talent involved
THE HOST is a good monster movie, pretty much a classic at this point….
Gonna try and get to HEADHUNTER, DANIEL and NIGHTMARE CINEMA this week…
Anyway, lots of stuff I’ve missed so great to see for FREE
Hope you are all doing well and staying safe! Please stay indoors !
Thanks to all who played!!!!
Have a good weekend!!!
color out of space was rad.
