Sorry to name some that already got named….but I just love the Funhouse so damned much I can't contain myself when I know some of them!
2) WHITE OF THE EYE – good gravy do I love this movie. I watched it like a million times in college. When I came back to it, decades later, it was amazing how much of it was seared into my brain. I wish my memories of yesterday were so vivid.
3) AMERICAN PSYCHO
4) ZODIAC – just an amazing film. Amazing.
6) MY FRIEND DAHMER
7) SEVEN (I see what you did there)
8) MONSTER (?)
Thanks so much for bringing us the Funhouse!

Oh my God…this guy. This is exactly how I feel. You also answered every pic I knew on top. Very interesting comment for me to read.
Ok, I'm going to guess here and say the theme is serial killers real or imagined?
1.) Rampage (It seems hardly anyone even knows about Friedkin's take on model citizen and paragon of mental health Richard Chase's shenanigans)
2.) White of the Eye (Donald Cammell grew up on the lap of Aleister Crowley and later shot himself in the head; two things which are not mutually exclusive)
3.) American Psycho
4.) Zodiac
5.) Copycat
6.) My Friend Dahmer (with friend's like these, huh? By the way, who's for dinner?)
7.) Seven
8.) Monster
9.) Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (Just saw Michael Rooker in The Trigger Effect and Suspicious, both very good films by David Koepp)
10.) Silence of the Lambs (who remembers Silence of the Hams, Dr. Animal Cannibal Pizza and FBI Agent Jo Dee Fostar?)

Ghastly1 – Rampage was filmed in 1987 but, due to legal issues, went unreleased until Miramax picked it up and, just barely, released it to theaters in 1992. It's never been released on home video or streaming in any format aside from laserdisc, because Miramax was the studio where many films went to die, unavailable for anyone who actually wanted to see them.
It's not surprising that the movie isn't better known.
3 AMERICAN PSYCHO & Huey Lewis appreciation! Yay SDC & DR!
4 ZODIAC right on SDC and Dr Nick!
5 COPY CAT nicely done Ghastly1 and mhenders!
6 MY FRIEND DAHMER I grew SDC- great movie!

9 HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER good eye mhenders!
10 SILENCE OF THE LAMBS awesome mhenders
Dr Nick, WHITE OF THE EYE is brilliant- just watched it again myself- will write about it soon, have a “recently watched” post coming up. It really sticks in your head!
Mhender, love that you got HENRY just from the image of the car!
Ghastly1, Great work! did not know of the Crowley connection! That’s very interesting. I did know of the director’s suicide which adds yet another haunting element to the film.
SDC, Miramax really has hoarded and destroyed so many movies. The loss is incalculable. It’s too bad they couldn’t use a “the movie they don’t want you to see” type of thing when it was released for promotion. RAMPAGE def was released on VHS though because I am a proud owner of a copy! I feel bad for the actor Alex McArthur- it should have been his big break1
Avayander, lmao- that took me a while to get! That does look like him! Meatloaf and Joyce DeWitt went on killing spree!
Thanks to all who played and for all the interesting comments!
Unk,
Yes indeed, his father was a fanboy of Crowley. He also played Osiris in the Kenneth Anger (who you may or may not know was a follower of Thelema) film, "Lucifer Rising" which is based on one of Crowley's poems (and of course, along with "Invocation of my Demon Brother" had the whole Bobby Beausoleil/Charles Manson connection) and it seems, like most of those who came into association with El Superbeasto, he wound up totally destroyed. KA and by extension Crowley influenced the likes of Martin Scorsese and John Waters who in turn influenced everyone in concentric rings radiating outward. So as you can see, film is one big -black magic- circle jerk.

SDC,
Almost correct, Rampage was released on VHS by Paramount. I know this because I rented it a million times as a tike.
#8- "…and in a shocking new development Meat Loaf was arrested for murder today…."
