You know, I try to make these challenging for you but maybe I just don't realize the level of horror aficionado I'm dealing with.
I probably would have gotten maybe Hell night and maybe demons but that's it.
here are the correct answers:
1 Terror Train
2 Jason goes to hell
3 Girls Night Out
4 Monster Squad
5 Someone is watching Me
6 Demons
7 Amityville horror (remake)
8 Night Of The Demons
9 The Mist
10 Hell Night
* In an effort to keep the conversation going, I pose THIS QUESTION to you guys:
If you were getting dumped on a desert island and you could only pick TWO of the ten movies above to bring with you…
Which two would you pick?
(I think my two would be Hell Night and the Mist)
Also please make sure you guys check back here this weekend…
we will have a couple NAME THAT TRAUMAS
and I'm going to need your help!!!!

My picks would be Terror Train and The Monster Squad. I'm afraid The Mist would just make me angry because of the ending. I loved the movie until the end.
I gotta go with Demons (love movies set in a movie theater) and The Mist. And, sorry mickster, but put me in the camp with those who love the ending. The story has been one of my favorite Kings since I read it in Dark Forces back in high school, so I was totally unprepared for it to become so uncompromisingly bleak. And just when your gut has taken all the punches it can stand…there goes the woman who left the supermarket in the first reel. Like the ad-line said, "Fear Changes Everything."

It's even better in b&w.
Question: Who's dumping me on the island, my girlfriend or someone else for the sake of this question? Wasn't this sort of the plot of Forgetting Sarah Marshall?
I JOKE.
I think mine would be Hell Night and Demons (funny, the two I wasn't 100% certain of from the screenshots). Hell Night has that clever mix of Hammer-esque costume horror and college slasher that I love, and Demons, well…Demons is GROSS!

It did look great in B&W, I agree with that for sure. I had a problem with a character that wasn't able to make a snap decision the entire movie suddenly doing something so out of character. It was effective seeing the woman that left the store first. It was like see dummy you should have pondered longer like you did the first part of the movie.

Demons and Monster Squad here. Funny that Demons is one of my favorites and I thought the picture was from that god awful movie Truth or Dare…
Alls I know about this desert island is that for some reason there is a dvd player and an electrical outlet already there.
Mickster, I promise that I will fast-forward over the Mist's ending for your sake, but I have got to see that giant elephant monster thing again,…it was just too cool!
Lottie, I have never seen Truth or dare, I thought you were talking about the Madonna movie!
Just in case something happens to the first one, I will need my LAUREN HUTTON fix.

Truth or Dare is painfully bad. Its only redeeming feature is that you get to see a young A.J McClean (of the Backstreet Boys)get sawed in half with a chainsaw.

I'd choose The Mist (black and white version), and… yes, I apologize… Jason Goes To Hell. I enjoy the heck outta that movie, and could probably listen to the commentary track over and over.
Actually, now that I've watched the "Truth or Dare" trailer  about five or six times, I'm starting to believe that I HAVE to see it!

I've got to say… my two movies would definitely be Night of the Demons and Monster Squad.  You've got to have a little comedy and Monster Squad is perfect, and even having seen Night of the Demons a million times, it still has moments that scare the tar out of me.
I agree with Mickster on the Mist, although I found more problems with it than just that ending. I mean, the poor CGI towards the beginning and the overpopulated supermarket setting were really distracting. I mean, I know I'm in the minority, but it was pretty disappointing. And yeah, that was a snap decision. I mean, they didn't even wait until they got hungry!
Lance, I liked Truth or Dare, but again, I'm in the minority. Tim Ritter made it when it was about 17, and yeah, it's seriously flawed, but immensely adult for someone that age to have even thought of it. It's like the original Toolbox Murders in some ways, but not nearly as good. I guess I just gave the filmmaker a pass because his heart was really in it.
My two movies… I think Girl's Nite Out and Someone's Watching Me, with Terror Train coming in close behind.

I would have to take Demons and The Mist (black and white version). That babysitter from the Amityville Horror remake is already burned into my memory.
I'd take 2 copies of Hell Night as it's better than all of those other films combined! 🙂
I do love Someone's Watching Me… Adrienne Barbeau can be my lesbian bff anytime.

6. Demons(?)
7. The Amityville Horror
8. Night of the Demons
9. The Mist
10. Hell Night(?)
2 – Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday
5 – Someone's Watching Me
1-Terror Train (?)
# 1 is TERROR TRAIN…is #3 NIGHT SCHOOL?
#3 Girls Nite Out
#4 is Monster Squad. Not sure what #3 is but I'm pretty sure it's not Night School. The Dorm That Dripped Blood, maybe?
#4: Monster Squad?
Is #6 Truth or Dare?
You guys have blown my mind yet again

Can I bring two copies of SOMEONE IS WATCHING ME?

I must be getting old. I have seen 9 outta 10 of these (not the Amityville remake though) and I guessed absolutely NONE! (hangs head in shame).
Two for a deserted island? NIGHT OF THE DEMONS and TERROR TRAIN
