Love this site! Been checking it out for a few weeks now–thanks for the fun! Number two is The Burning, which I know because I just watched it recently.
Â
If you could only own TWO of the above ten which would they be?????
Mine are:
THE BURNING because I LOVE it so much and the soundtrack is awesome
and
STAGE FRIGHT because it is insane.

I hate working Friday mornings, I miss all the fun! I never even heard of the Deadly Spawn, it looks wonderfully cheesy!
2 of the above? The Burning and The Changeling although Stage Fright is a possibility as well.
The Changeling and Deranged would be my pick, I think but there's so many movies in this Funhouse I adore. Mickster and I recently corresponded on all the kinder-traumatic qualities of the Changeling. "We fondle each other." YIKES!
Stagefright IS insane. I saw it at a revival house with Dario Argento's Opera a few years ago. I was absolutely blown away.
Amanda is right – so many movies to love here, but I'll go with The Changeling – one of the best ghost stories ever filmed – and The Unborn. The scene where the fetus traces the Zener card symbols from the inside of its mother's belly – wow. And that final shot of the mother-child reunion; the angle of sunlight reminded me of the last image of the orginal Texas Chain Saw Massacre. (And the score's by Gary Numan!)
Â
Now please don't ask me why I didn't get that one right. Thank you.
THE CHANGELING is movie enough. I wouldnt need another one.
To anyone who hasnt seen THE UNBORN yet- not only do you get to see a brunette Lisa Kudrow you get to see comidienne Kathy Griffin get beaten to death with a hammer! Who doesnt wanna see THAT?!

Well, I am back to work this week and missed out! I just watched The Sentinel last weekend and enjoyed discussing the traumatizing qualities with Amanda.
I would pick The Changeling and The Sentinel out of the ten.

I have to go with The Changeling (one of the very few movies that actually scares me anymore)and Splatter University (for a nice fix of cheese)

I'm with mickster: The Changeling and The Sentinel for me.
(Speaking into my imaginary CB): Copy that Mickster & Pinchy… I'll take The Changeling (for the bouncey ball) & The Sentinel for the mustachioes.

The Changeling, particularly for the opening scene, and The Sentinel, because it is AWESOME. Beverly D'Angelo rubbing one out, the freakshow at the end, Dick Smith's awesome makeup FX, good lord I love that movie.

I thought maybe #5 was the paperboy- the scene where the kid is smashing away at the "dog" in the blanket (really, frozen hamburger) to scare the old lady into a heart attack- classic.
I really need to watch more horror, or re-watch it! I have no clue for some of these!

Unk, I was just wondering if any of the following have been iscussed yet? In the mouth of Madness, Lord of Illusions, The Other (1972), God told me to…., Dead and Buried, The Serpent and the Rainbow, People Under the Stairs, but sepcially MOTEL HELL (they are remaking it, and are apparently remaking Stephen King's IT)- can't wait to see "The Road' either! Wow!

Arrgh! I kept trying to make #9 one of the "Psycho" movies, or a rip-off, but I should have gone to the Gein "source" – "Deranged." Great movie!
