Would you just look at all these stills from Christmas themed horror flicks I scrounged up! How many can you identify?
If you're not sure, feel free to guess. If you don't care to guess, leave a comment telling us which Christmas movie (horror or otherwise) is your favorite!
One lucky commenter is going to win a fabulous Kindertrauma T-shirt sort of like the one worn below by Kinderpal Taylor!
Note: The Kindertrauma prize t-shirt will be white and size medium, large, or extra-large (winner's choice!) with the same artwork as the one Taylor picked up at Kindertrauma Mart.
Also: The winner will be announced tomorrow so that everybody will get a chance regardless of time zone! (Step it up Left Coasters!) Good luck to all!
Ooh, a toughie! I only know a few (blame it on my lack of Christmas horror viewing)
1: Gremlins
5: Christmas Evil
11: Silent Night, Deadly Night
12: Black Christmas (?)
15: Tales From The Crypt episode "And All Through The House"
Six is Too All a Goonight. Awesomely bad and awesomely awesome.
Alas, the only 2 of these that I knew for sure have been guessed already. I'm crying! (Again.)
And in the immortal words of Tim Meadows, it is one kickass shirt! Ronald McDonald seemed to think so too.
I got some of these..
3. SNDN Part 3 Better Watch Out!
4. SNDN5 Toymaker
8. SNDN part 2
9. SNDN4 Initiation
13. 1972 Tales from the Crypt awesome!
Could 14 be Trancers? I seem to remember a Santa in the mall???
Pride Comes Before The Fall: I thought I was gonna ace this and again I suck!
Number 11 is SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT fo shizzle but I have to guess
is #4 CHRISTMAS EVIL and
#9 SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT 4:THE INITIATION?
Could 2 be the 1975 Black Christmas?
1 Gremlins
3 Silent Night, Deadly Night 3
10 Black Christmas
11 Silent Night, Deadly Night
13 Tales From the Crypt (1972)
15 Tales From the Crypt "And All Through The House"
Â
I've been working my way through the Silent Night Deadly Night series this past week. Â Last night I watched part 3…I have a feeling, as I move forward, that number one will remain my fave…
1. Â Gremlins
5. Â Christmas Evil?
10. Â Black Christmas
13. Â Tales From the Crypt (1972)
Â
This one was kinda tough! Â I love Christmas Evil, if even for the ending alone. Â I dunno if it's true or not, but someone once told me that the deranged Santa in this is played by Fiona Apple's dad.
1. Gremlins. I have to admit I'm not much of a Christmas horror buff. I tend to gravitate to the Christams themed episodes on that show that had a guy & two robots making fun of movies.
No. 8 is 'Santa's Slay.'
#1 Gremlins (1984)
#10 Black Christmas (1974)
#13 Tales From the Crypt (1972)
#15 Tales From the Crypt (TV series)
I love Black Christmas (1974)! It is awesome!
I really need to start getting up earlier so I actually have a shot of guessing these. Â The only ones I knew were the Tales from the Crypt episodes/movie. Â BUT NOW I have so many more movies to choose from for my Black Christmas Party!
All the ones I knew were already guessed. :(Â and great, looks like I'll go back to the recurring childhood nightmares about ronald mcdonald.
I only got a few …
1.) Gremlins (1984)
10.) Black Christmas (1974)
12.) Black Christmas (2006)
It's not a horror film, but I've always been a sucker for the MARLO THOMAS made-for-T.V. classic IT HAPPENED ONE CHRISTMAS.
Wasn't there an annual TV Christmas movie with Mickey Rooney and the kid from Critters? I feel like I would watch that one every year when I was little.
Obviously it had a huge impact on me. Ah, [lack of] memories…
Hey Taylor,
I think you are thinking of It Came Upon the Midnight Clear (1984).
Drats I am misinformed on Christmas horror apparently. Oh well. I lost miss Horror blogosphere so maybe I will win a kindertrauma t-shirt!
I won enough stuff for this year, so I won't post any guesses. Just wanted to say that some of those old timey christmas decorations are terrifying! Like… more so than the movies they're in.
Â
Some classics in this line up though. Christmas and horror is just so satisfying for some reason.
These are all from "The Greatest Story Ever Told," right?
I'll admit, though, I can't really see most of these images. I'm Jewish.
I DO know the picture with Taylor is from "Mac & Me."
Answers and winners!
OMG! YAY! Thanks!!!
I won something! And pretty much for just showing up! (I think I only got one right!) Now I know how Charlie Brown felt when he FINALLY bested that Lucy bitch and got to kick the football!
