Sorry chainman…there were only 2 replies when I signed in to post. Just saying, because I hate when that happens and it looks like I stole my answer.

No worries brother! We both posted around the same time. If I had posted second, I would have been concerned that you would have thought I might have been poaching. lol
What can I say except that great minds think alike. These things happen all the time, very surprised that Terror Tract wasn't already snatched up. If Ritter was shown instead of Cranston, I think the other posters would have gotten it right away.

You're probably right chainman, I always remember Ritter in it, I think because he was hardly ever in these types of films. I associate him so heavily with Jack Tripper, and the contrast is so huge to me when I see him in It or Bride of Chucky.
I'm gonna guess from the clues
10. Spirits of the Dead ?
Is that one any good? I like anthology flicks but found this funhouse difficult.
I had that exact same weird DVD with Cherry Falls on it. I should have purchased Cabin by the Lake double feature too but didn't. I like to think of Cabin by the Lake as the sequel to The Breakfast Club. lol
I Love NIGHTMARES. That's the one that inspired this whole post! I just got a beautiful Anchor Bay Clam shell VHS of it off of eBay. I love all those collector's tapes from the last days of VHS. They look great and my VCR must be fed. I know it just came out on Blu-ray but it's exactly the type of movie I prefer to watch on VHS.
Chainman,
I think VHS is going to be my answer for CABIN ON THE LAKE 1 and 2! It will be a lot cheaper!.

Just looked on eBay and even the VHS copies are more expensive than I imagined they would be. Good luck on your hunt.
I might just watch them on YouTube- that's the cheapest solution of all! 🙂

That's what I'm doing too . Simple and cheap solution with zero problems, unless you hanker to have it in your collection. I almost purchased the double feature several times and years later I'm kicking my self about it.
USA was always playing Cabin by the Lake/Return and that was a major factor in not purchasing it. Hindsight is 20/20.
There is only one rational solution to my dilemma. I'm going to have to build a time machine, travel back in time, buy that DVD, then kill Hitler but not in that particular order. lol
But I first have to figure out how to generate 1.21 gigawatts!

4 Nightmares (1983)
New hint for 4!
Bishop of Battle!!!
Matt you are correct
10= SPIRITS OF THE DEAD!
SOTD is good but not really my bag.
I really love CAMPFIRE STORIES (1997) but I think we just covered that one recently…so I skipped it here.
and TWISTS OF TERROR (97) but maybe just because Jennifer Rubin is awesome…
Do you guys remember when John Ritter was on Buffy The Vampire Slayer? He is the best.
I have that weird DVD with TERROR TRACT and CHERRY FALLS as a double feature.
Oh wait! Jay C. got #4 on Facebook!
4= NIGHTMARES (1983)
That momma rat tore up the bedroom!
OK now the weekend can start!
Thanks to the fine folks who played!
You guys rule!
Have THE BEST weekend!!!
@ Unk and Matt
Yeah I think we all think of Jack Tripper, pretty much impossible to not think of Tripper.

I didn't see your answer!
Mshenders gets NIGHTMARES!
Excellent job!
and thanks chainman for the tripper links!!
The best!
Chainman, now I want that that CABIN BY THE LAKE double feature DVD and it's 90 bucks on Amazon! Should have picked that up when I had the chance!
Yikes 90 bucks, I knew it had gone up in price but didn't realize how severely! We are now both kicking ourselves over our folly.
cabin by the lake 1
Nightmares (1983) – great film! Another good hint would've been features actors from CUJO, PUMPKINEAD, and THE SENTINEL! 🙂
