The great TOM HOLLAND had a birthday this past week (July 11th) so let's say we celebrate his wonderful career. Below are twelve images from twelve movies (or TV episodes) that he either wrote or directed or in some cases, both! How many can you identify?
7) Fright Night (Original)
12) MoH: Scream for Ice Cream
I'm going to guess that #3 is Fright Night and the bottom bumper is Class of 1984.
2) Tales from the Crypt / "Four-Sided Triangle"
11) THINNNNNERRRRRRR
5. Psycho II – One of the most under rated sequels of all time.
6. Child's Play
11. Thinner
9) The Initiation of Sarah 1978
Is 9. The Initiation of Sarah (1978)
There were already answers for both 12 and the title, and I didn't think you would use the same movie twice. I was going to answer 12. Class of 1984 that looks really familiar to me, but I never saw that Masters of Horror episode.
1. The Stranger Within
10. The Beast Within
Nice work! Here are some confirmations and hints….

Hints:
3= LED ZEPPELIN musician
4= E.T. meets Buffalo Bill= I'm pretty sure we got a traumafession on this scene back in the day. I can't find it though! Maybe it was a "It's a Horror to Know Yu" post. Hmmmmmm
Oh, that's cool about Kari.
When I saw Thinner in the theatre I remember thinking, "Wow, she's like Catherine Zeta Jones + Ali Landry!"
Drew,
I can see that! Kari was very cool and a true rebel. Plus she's a great singer. Love her in Eight Legged Freaks and Anaconda too.
9 THE INITIATION OF SARAH 1978= You guys are good, chainman and Matt S. !
Slight correction, The Best. (smile)
The Warriors 1979
Riffs leader: You Warriors are good. Real good.
Swan: The best.
chainman,
Love that movie and I love that David Patrick Kelly
He was so scary in DREAMSCAPE!
And he's killing it in that TWIN PEAKS: THE RETURN.
Man, I think I still have my WARRIORS PS2 game- I gotta dig that up!
David was scary in Dreamscape, no arguments there.
Dig down and see if you still have your PS2 disc and don't forget to simultaneously scan for your 8mb memory cards. If you see the cards, store em away so you can find it later.
The question isn't should you "dig that up!" but whether you "CAN YOU DIG IT?" (smile)
Clicked the quiz link hoping to find SCREAM FOR HELP, and there it is – #3!
Christie Cromwell spying on her murderous stepfather while he and his co-conspirator are banging, via Polaroid.
I like that Holland immediately returned to the "nobody believes threatened puberty-plagued everyteen" theme with FRIGHT NIGHT. And his previous two scripts were for Richard Franklin: PSYCHO II, in which nobody believes Norman Bates when he claims his dead mother is calling him on the phone, and CLOAK & DAGGER, in which nobody believes Henry Thomas when he says evil spies want to kill him.
Then of course came CHILD'S PLAY, which is about a kid who nobody believes when he says his doll is alive and wants to kill him.
Holland must have been working out some issues in the 80's.
solongyoubastard- you rule!
yep #3 is the incredible SCREAM FOR HELP=Fantastic, crazy, awesome movie!
You made some great points too. That not being believed theme does connect a lot of TH's work!
Plus thanks for mentioning CLOAK AND DAGGER!!!!
That's actually #4 so I'm giving you points for saying it!!!!
3=SCREAM FOR HELP
4=CLOAK AND DAGGER
You saved the day solongyoubastard!
Big props and thanks to all who played!
And have a great weekend folks!
Make sure you watch a Tom Holland movie !!!! SPIDERMAN: HOMECOMING doesn't count!
Oh man, I should of known – I just watched CLOAK & DAGGER recently! Totally missed it.
Great quiz, Uncle L.! Led Zeppelin musician was a good hint, crazy score by John Paul Jones. Michael Winner was good at getting the Zep's to score his flicks (Jimmy Page did DEATH WISH 2 & 3).
(HOMECOMING does share a few "real Tom Holland" themes: Hogan doesn't believe Peter when he's calling about the purloined super-weapons, the villain is a friendly guy nobody but the awkward teen suspects is a bad guy and Aunt May is the same kind of strong female single parent as Catherine Hicks in CHILD'S PLAY. Ok, maybe I'm stretching it a little bit…)
