Wondering if you could help me with a movie. I bought this film for a friend (I thought off of Amazon but when I checked my account it wasn't there) about 8-10 years ago. I think it was an older movie though from the '80s or early '90s?
Anyway, a group of friends go to a cabin in the woods. The cabin is all broken down/burned down from the outside but when they go through the front door, the cabin is fully built and back to its original state. A demon or monster then comes and kills them. I think once they go back out of the cabin they are trapped if memory serves me correct. Also, I think it had Demon in the title?
Obviously, as I was in my late 20s or early 30s, the film didn't scare me to death or anything. I just remember watching it and thinking it was cool.
PS: The friend moved away and I lost touch with him. I know it was a VHS tape if that helps. Any help would be great!
UNK SEZ: It's sounds like you just described 1990's DEMON WIND and it looks like the entire film is hanging out on Youtube starting HERE!
that's ultra mega ugly!
"Demon Wind" is a craptastic classic. I actually bought a used copy from amazon and ended up donating it to my local library so that the people who rent movies there could possibly discover it's magical shiteousness. There has to be someone else out there that appreciates and likes this film as much as I do. I thank USA's "Up All Night" for introducing me to the wonders of this strange, little-known flick.
On a side note, the lead actor has a brief but memorable rear-end baring dream scene. And it's a very good rear end, I might add.
I don't know how I've missed this one as long as I have. I remember it from the video store & I always thought the cover showed the demon jumping out of a computer screen & I think that's why I avoided it. Now that I see he is jumping out of a window instead I must watch it soon. Any movie that has people talking in demon voices and calling folks "pigs" is worth at least a gander.
This sure is the film I was talking about! It is awful…but with a cold drink (or three) it grew on me. Sure you can question my tastes in films I can handle it! Thanks guys. I look forward to checking out this "Gem" again!
"There's something deadly in the wind! It'll blow you away!"
With taglines like that I was braced for some Full Moon fart jokes.
