Hi Kindertrauma,
I have a Name That Trauma from the early 2000s. I asked about it on Yahoo but got no (helpful) answers.
Around 2002-3, I caught about 10 minutes of a movie on T.V. The movie looked pretty grainy so I'm guessing it wasn't a new release. I have no idea what channel it was on.
The gist of it was that there were a group of harpies, or bird-human hybrids, I don't know, that lived on a mountain near a coastal village. I've since realized that this was probably not an American film, as the scenery looked very European or possibly even Russian, with the big snow-capped mountains and tiny little quaint seaside cottages.
Maybe it was being played during a foreign (crappy) cinema marathon or something, but now I'm just guessing.
I remember the bird people, whose costumes pretty much consisted of cheap fake wings, talons and tails, flying down and terrorizing the residents of one of the cottages. A girl came out of the cottage and the bird people flew down and grabbed her with their feet and dragged her along the ground into the forest. That's when I turned it off.
Do you guys have any idea?

Geez, no comments? I was looking forward to an answer on this one.
I want to know this one too. I'd love to see an evil harpy movie! All I could find was this….
The only thing I came up with is THE VULTURE(1967).
"The Vulture is another very rare flick from England featuring a part-man, part-vulture.
Pretty atmospheric with some shocking scenes of people suddenly being grabbed and taken away by vulture claws."
Chopmeup, that COULD be it, but I distinctly remember there being at least three harpies, and seeing a lot more of them than it seems like The Vulture shows of its monster.
I also can't find any hint of the beautiful mountain scenery I remember in the clips on YouTube.
I'll have to go track it down and watch the whole thing. Maybe my memory is a bit skewed.
I don't even know what movie the blue winged demons pictured above are from…looks extremely familiar (I'd guess Harryhausen's work), but I'm drawing a blank…
Good eye Captain! Those blue harpies are from "Jason and the Argonauts".
Getting here late, but are you sure it isn't from Van Helsing? The movie is not that old but it sounds a lot like the scene with Dracula's brides attacking the mountain village beginning here at 9.45
"Jason and the Argonauts" is the first thing that came to mind. "Equinox" also comes to mind.
And, I seem to recall there was a made-for-TV movie about Gargoyles, perhaps called "Gargoyles", that I haven't seen since the 1970's or early 1980's.
It seems like one of the lower-budget Sinbad movies might have had some non-Harryhausen Gargoyles or winged demons in it, but I really have no clear memory of what exactly did appear in the Sinbad movie I'm thinking of.
The only thing I can think of after that would be any of the dreadful Hercules sword-and-sandal movies from the 1960's and 1970's. I wouldn't imagine those would have the sort of budget for harpy special effects, but there's really no telling….
