NOTE: Today's images come courtesy of our dear chum, TV movie historian extraordinaire Amanda Reyes. Amanda's new book ARE YOU IN THE HOUSE ALONE? A TV MOVIE COMPENDIUM: 1964-1999 is available now and that strange weeping noise you can't identify at night is probably your bookshelf begging for it. This book is the ultimate tribute to the TV movies that have had such a profound effect on our psyches and I'm not just saying that because I contributed a few pieces (You know I had to call out SALEM'S LOT for delivering me many a sleepless night). This book is jammed packed with TV movie goodness from the legendary to the obscure and Amanda's retrospective to the small screen horror films of the late, great WES CRAVEN is worth the price alone. Buy this beauty HERE and plan to be fully occupied with essays, reviews and plenty of cool TV GUIDE ads for a long while.
2) Terror At London Bridge
8) People Across The Lake
I just started reading this book yesterday. I feel like if you did this next Friday I could nail the lot:
1.) Death Car on the Freeway
2.) Terror on London Bridge
7.) Fantasies
8.) The People Across the Lake
9.) This House Possessed
10.) The Demon Murder Case
11.) Satan's School for Girls
12.) Deadly Lessons
13.) The Bermuda Depths
3. High Desert Kill
4. Darkroom
5. The Dark Secret of Harvest Home
6. This House Possessed
Oops, I meant 9 for my #6 but Dylan got it anyway so it doesn't really matter.
3. The China Lake Murders
I can't wait to get your book Amanda, it looks great. And with all your passion and dedication to TV movies, I'm sure this is the definitive book on the subject.
You stopped posting for so long last year I thought you were done with the site, I quit checking back, otherwise I would have bought a copy right away.
6. Deadly Messages
Amanda, what's that made-for-TV (Lifetime?) movie where Dale Midkiff stabs Nancy McKeon and stomps on her head in the middle of the street in front of her neighbors?
You know, then he picks up their child and screams, "I JUST KILLED YOUR MOTHER" in his face?
Made-For-TV Hall of Fame, right there.
Top bumper) The Sixth Sense
Bottom bumper) The Babysitter
Drew,
It's called A Cry For Help – The Tracey Thurman Story…ya, that scene was just jaw-dropping.
Drew and Matt,
That scene was so brutal and painful to watch. I'll never forget that. Truly horrifying. I couldn't believe that happened on my TV.
Hey! Am I in time to say?
04) Darkroom.
With James Coburn!
That book looks great!!!
Unk Lance,
The same for me. All the more horrifying when you realize not just the neighbors, but a bunch of police officers just stood there and watched, and it's based on a real-life incident.
BTW, if anyone is reading this with the power, would you please for the love of GOD put out an official release of The Dark Secret of Harvest Home and This House Possessed on DVD/blu ray. I think it's time.
I definitely had that moment where I laugh and then depression sets in as I go, "Oh my God… but that actually happened. To a real person."
Is anyone else still waiting for the Bluray release of "Dark Night of the Scarecrow," like I am?
That is a fantastic made-for-TV film.
You know… as far as that goes.
You guys are incredible! KT readers sure know their TV movies. Amanda is going to so thrilled to see this.

Hi everyone,
Yes, I'm so pleased. I wondered if the TV Guides might be a little more difficult than a poster, but you all are TOO good!
And Matt, yes, I am still around, but am doing so much stuff that I haven't had much time to blog. Sad face. But I'm hoping to get back to it very soon!!! If you pick up the book, I hope you enjoy it! 🙂
Thanks everyone for playing and for talking awesome TV movies. It always makes me happy when I see so many films are still so loved and adored!
