UNK SEZ: Reader bdwilcox said it best in the comments section for our post on THE HORSEMAN, "There are few things quite as satisfying as a good revenge flick." With that in mind, today's Funhouse shall be all about making the bastards pay! Good Luck kiddies!
3. Last House on the Left
7. Ms. 45?
8. Kill Bill vol. 1
Is #6 Blood Games with Ross Hagen?
Is #9 The Great Texas Dynamite Chase? I don't think it is because I don't remember that being a revenge flick, but the girl reminds me of Claudia Jennings.
Is #7 Poison Ivy?
Is #4 Candyman?
OK, I'll stop now!
#10 is killing me. I'm sure I saw some of that movie on Impact on Demand a few months ago!
Well, 9 and 10 are both Rolling movies – Rolling Thunder and Rolling Vengeance. My old buddy Burl just reviewed the latter at his website, thusly: http://hiitsburl.tumblr.com/post/6792296253/burl-reviews-rolling-vengeance-1987
#2 is most certainly "The Crow."
Oh shit, the hook-hand! Shoulda spotted that in the Rolling Thunder one.
#9 is Rolling Thunder with William Devane? I just saw that one. I remember the girl's hair being more blonde! Threw me off! What a great film that was, and yes, I think Rolling Vengeance was on Impact on Demand… Mystery Solved! 🙂
6 is Blood Games?
Let's see here
1
2 The Crow – There's no foolin Keybar!

Hints
1. This movie had a baddie in a hockey mask way back in 1974 & stars Joanne Harris (Of both "The Beguiled" & Match Game fame!)
4. A Korean revenge flick from 2003
5. Probably the most infamous revenge flick of all time. That's Hope Lange shopping for Groceries. Hope she picks up a fly swatter!
IS #5 Death Wish?
Unk, have you see The Ladies Club? That's a pretty good revenge movie!
And what is the pic of Robert Forster from?
Death Wish is correct!
#1 has the exact same plot as "The Ladies Club"!
The Robert Forster movie is called "Walking the Edge" (1983)
The Ladies Club is great. You can't beat that cast.
1 is Act of Vengeance
Beyond that, I only know 2, which someone already got.
The hint would suggest 4. is either Ju-on or Ju-on 2, though I swear I don't remember THAT.
I'm shocked at the absence of Day of the Woman A.K.A. I Spit On Your Grave from any revenge flick list!
Whoops! Korean, not Japanese.
Yes!! Lottie got it.
#1 is Act of Vengeance aka Rape Squad!
Pinchy, here is another hint…
4 involves somebody being imprisoned for 15 years…
I LOVE Walking the Edge! I have the DVD and the commentary with Forster and the director and leading lady is awesome!
so 4 is oldboy then?
Oldboy is correct!!!!
Good going Magired!
Pinchy, I think I have a mental block with I Spit on your Grave. I saw that one when i was about 13 or something and it disturbed the heck out of me! I find that rape seen really hard to watch. I felt the same way about Mother's Day for a long time but then got over it so maybe I should give ISOYG another try.
So you guys got all ten! Hope everybody has a good weekend!
Amanda, I'll have to get that DVD! I love a good commentary!
Worth mentioning at this juncture: "Fair Game". A title that is bland and generic when saddled with Naomi Watts, but sinister and evocative when used to identify the heroine of an Australian vengeance flick. And yes, she was John Denver's wife. Good eye.
