Well, I guess you had some scares during those "Kill Bill" movies!
The whole bulls-eye motif reminds me of the Tara King era of "The Avengers," which is traumatizing in its own right.
I think all of Ironside was a little disconcerting for me as a kid, mostly because he was in a wheelchair and it was something I didn't quite understand yet (if that makes sense) and also it was so dead serious, and I wasn't up for that yet. Yet, I loved Harry-O. Funny.
That theme freaked me out as well! I think it was Raymond Burr's face that filled up the entire screen in a couple of shots that did it for me, along with the music.
