Hi, it's Jeffrey again, the one who told you about FRAGGLE ROCK and THX, and also asked about the school supplies commercial. Here is something that might have material that could scare kids under 6, maybe 7. It's not a movie, a T.V. show, or a book. It's a videogame. I'm talking about Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island for SNES, and also GBA. It has some creepy stuff like fake giant floating flowers disguised as real ones with evil grins that roll towards you when you get too close to them, monkeys spitting seeds at you, mud, cleverly hidden enemies, spike and thorns, creepy bosses, etc. This game should not be played by kids 6 and under, it's CREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPY.
Ha! This is genius. I find that all video games I played as a young one still have a certain air of creepiness when I play them today. Mario games especially- although I'm not sure if it's creepiness disguised as anger for never being able to beat Super Mario World 1….hmm
Maniac Mansion creeped me out as a kid, but the Mario games never quite had that effect on me.
I love Mario! All the games are so cool and I have a lot of them!
The commercial for Yoshi's Island creeped me out when I was 9 or 10, but I got over it and loved it. It's about a guy who eats a bunch of food and then explodes.
The game itself OTOH… who thought the Prince Froggy fight was acceptable for a KA rated game?
