To save space in your in-box, I have documented my Kindertrauma through the eternal medium of YouTube video. To wit: in the early 1980s there was a series of dolls called the HuggaBunch. They had huge heads and eerie glassy eyes, and they were introduced to the world via an hour-long made-for-T.V. movie. The scene in the video below has not left my head for twenty-four years.

Heck with kindertrauma, I've just been adultraumad!Â
"I'll charm his teeth right out of his gums!"Â The hell?
UGH! I haaaaaaaaaaaaaate this movie! I always heard people on '80s boards talk about it and so finally i bought a VHS of it a few yeasrs back. My daughter actually LIKED the damn thing too!
I threw it out awhile back and now I almost wish I HADNT. I wanna show it to people so they can reel in disbelief!
I rented this when I was younger, acouple times and thought nothing of it. Watching it now I found it incredibly disturbing..funny how things change o.O
I had great fun showing this to a friend of mine. He has pupetaphobia. Fear of dolls + That…THING = Cruel humor.
Now why on earth would someone create a chibi William Katt? Â Is his name Huggins or Pippin?
Damn. And I thought I was the only one that remembered the Hugga Bunch and this God forsaken movie.
Hard to believe this actually won a Primetime Emmy.
omfg! i think i blocked these out of my childhood memories…. i completely forgot about them until now! they're only slightly less creepy than that horrible cricket doll (the blonde, village-of-the-damned-looking, talking one)
Holy cow!! Thats the scariest thing I've ever seen! Damn! Talk about serious horror, cause I think Id cry if I was a lil kid and saw that.
I watched this movie a ton of times as a kid. The elephant scared me before he became cute and blue. The queen scared me too hehe.
